Have a lick

I just spent over an hour stuffing, licking, and stamping approximately 200 envelopes.

I did manage to avoid cutting my tongue, which I'm pretty sure has never been done before. I also managed to lick my tongue dry. I'd never done that before.

Yuck.

I've done that before Joey! I also learned what happens with the left over adhesive on the tongue. Keep a glass of water near by.

dude you have to get one of those little sponge wands that have a water bottle so you just slide the wet sponge over the glue.

will save you some trouble and a lot of nasty glue ingestion lol

At least you could have used a wet rag or some paper towels. Come on, think. That reminds me of a possible conversation from, say, about 10 years ago:

Dad: Joey, did you just lick 200 envelopes?!
Joey (with a deer in the headlight look): Yes sir.
Dad: Why?
Joey: I dunno.
Dad: Come on, think, you had to know why you did what you did. So why?
Joey: I dunno.
Dad: You can't think of a reason?
Joey: No sir.
Dad: Get to your room and think until you can tell me why you did it.

And I'm thinking "Joey, just tell him you licked them to make them sticky so you could close them!!!"

Guesss you never read that scary e-mail about licking envelopes, cutting your tongue, getting that parasite in your tongue, and some kind of mutant bugs hatching in your mouth. Never forget that one I bet. No more licking envelopes for you. Yikes!

Hey! College boy! They make stamps that you DON'T have to lick! Man, what an education does to normally smart people! ;-)
