Sick guitar skills!

I've never seen anything like this Erik Mongrain guy.



Wow! Just...wow! I'd love to be half that good! He makes me question whether I can even call whatever it is I do "playing the guitar."

I loved this. It was fabulous. Hey Joey, I thought you were going to play the guitar for us to sing great songs unto the Lord when my sister comes home in a couple weeks. This is the kind of playing I was expecting. Are you hinting that you are just actually an average guitar player? Jace was amazed at this too. He thought it looked like he was playing the piano.

Excellent and spirited.

There are a number of people that play this way, though -- what really surprises me is that he uses a standard acoustic guitar to do it! It's much easier on an electric, or a Chapman stick-type instrument (they're made for the style).

I also liked that he did strums and percussive stuff. Most of the guys I've seen play this way don't -- they stick with the pianistic tapping. That's fine, but watch this guy really get into it... you can't do all that tapping. He's still a guitar player, unlike some.
